🌈 What is “Keep It Casual”?

Every alternate Thursday, one department gets to ditch the formal, unplug from the spreadsheets, and enter the fun zone.

It’s our way of saying: “Hey, we see your KPIs… but we also see your love for nachos, your dream to be invisible in meetings, and your hilarious office pet peeves.”

From the moment the monthly activity calendar drops in our announcement group, eyes go hunting:
“When’s our turn?”
“What snacks are we picking?”
“Can we do a pyjama theme?”

📅 How We Casually Plan the Fun

At the start of every month, something magical happens — HR unveils The Masterplan. It’s not a secret mission or a heist (though it might feel like one). It’s our monthly calendar, filled with upcoming activities and a surprise twist: which department gets to take the spotlight for the next “Keep It Casual”? Let the games begin.

Fast forward a few weeks, and voilà — the chosen ones receive a calendar invite. It’s official. It’s happening. There’s no backing out now. You’re booked for fun. And yes, it’s hilariously formal for something so casual. But we’re all about that contrast.

As the day creeps closer, the real debates begin. Forget strategy meetings — we’re talking snack wars and style choices. Samosas or brownies? Should we dress like we’re on vacation in Hawaii or attending a vampire board meeting? “Corporate goth” was once pitched. Democracy takes the wheel, and things get surprisingly intense.

Once snacks are selected with the seriousness of a five-star menu tasting and outfits are (over) analyzed like runway looks, it’s go time. We secure the room, curate the vibe, and brace ourselves for a session that’s part bonding, part chaos, and entirely unforgettable.

Holi Hungama at vCommission: Colors, Chaos, and Unlimited Masti!

If there’s one festival that vCommission knows how to celebrate in full swing, it’s HOLI! This year, we took the madness a notch higher—colors flying, music blasting, people laughing, and an energy level that could put a Duracell bunny to shame.

The moment the celebrations kicked off, it was clear—this was going to be one for the books!

Dhol Beats and a Wild Start! 🎶💃

 

What’s Holi without dhol? Exactly. So, we did what any fun-loving, full-of-energy, no-chill workplace would do—welcomed not one, but TWO dhol walas!

 

And the moment they started playing, it was as if someone had hit the turbo button on everyone’s energy levels!

BOOM! The first beat dropped, and suddenly, the office was unrecognizable. Papers? Forgotten. Laptops? Ignored. Work? What’s that? This was a full-blown desi music video now.

People ran to the center like soldiers rushing into battle, forming circles, cheering, and hyping each other up. Within seconds, it was pure madness.

Twirls? Check.
Bhangra moves that could put a wedding baraat to shame? Oh, absolutely.
Some “creative” (read: questionable) breakdancing that may or may not have resulted in minor injuries? You bet!

After what felt like an eternal struggle to peel people off the dance floor (seriously, some had to be physically dragged away), we moved on to our first big game—the ultimate test of luck and skill: The Balloon Dart Challenge!

Now, close your eyes and picture this:

 

A massive wall, completely covered in vibrant, colorful balloons. But here’s the catch—inside some of these balloons were hidden cash prizes ranging from a humble ₹10 to a glorious ₹500. And inside others? A cold, heartless note that simply read,
“Better Luck Next Time.” 😈

Oh, the thrill! The suspense! The heartbreak!

The rules were simple:
1️⃣ Take a dart. 🏹
2️⃣ Aim like your entire reputation depends on it. 😤
3️⃣ Pop a balloon. 💥
4️⃣ Pray to every possible deity that you don’t get a “Better Luck Next Time” note. 🙏

And let me tell you—the drama that unfolded was Oscar-worthy.

The first contestant walked up with full confidence, channeled their inner Arjun from Mahabharata, locked eyes with a golden balloon, and… completely missed. The dart flew to the side and hit the wall. A collective gasp echoed through the crowd. Was this a sign? A bad omen? 😱

Then came the lucky ones. One guy popped a balloon and BOOM—₹500 rained down into his hands. He ran around screaming like he had just won Kaun Banega Crorepati, refusing to believe his own luck. “Drinks on me tonight!” he declared. (Still waiting on that, by the way. 👀)

And then… there were the unlucky souls.

Next up was musical chairs, but with a fun, nostalgic twist!

 

We went back to our school days and divided everyone into Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue houses. Each chair was labeled with a specific color, and if you weren’t fast enough to grab your team’s chair when the music stopped—well, tough luck!

And the music? Only the best Bollywood Holi bangers. “Balam Pichkari,” “Rang Barse,” “Holi Ke Din”—the playlist was fire.🔥

What started as an innocent game of musical chairs soon turned into a battlefield. People were diving, shoving (playfully, of course), and fighting for those last few chairs like their lives depended on it. Hierarchy? Gone. At that moment, it didn’t matter whether you were a manager or an intern—everyone was equally competitive and equally dramatic.

And when the final winner was declared? They celebrated like they just won a Filmfare award. Tears were shed, fake speeches were made, and we were all thoroughly entertained.

Antakshari – The Grand Finale! 🎤🎭

 

Now tell me, what’s a Holi celebration without a good old-fashioned Antakshari battle? But hold on—this wasn’t your regular, sit-in-a-circle, “let’s just hum a few lines” kind of game.

This. Was. WAR.

We had rules.

We had… DANCE.

We divided everyone into teams based on colorful bandanas (because, obviously, aesthetics matter). The challenge? Every team could only sing Holi-themed songs. No random Arijit Singh heartbreak numbers, no peppy party anthems—only full-on rang-barase, bhang-fueled Bollywood Holi madness.

But wait—there was a twist! While one team belted out a song, someone from their team HAD to dance. And not just a little head bob—they had to go all out.

And let me tell you, the performances we witnessed? ICONIC.

After hours of non-stop madness, it was time to refuel. And trust me, after all that dancing, dart-throwing, and chair-grabbing, everyone was STARVING.

 

We ended the celebration with delicious food and refreshments, while everyone sat around, reliving the best moments of the day.

From dance-offs to epic comebacks in Antakshari, from balloon-popping disappointments to unexpected victories, this Holi at vCommission Media was one of the most EPIC celebrations ever.

A Day of Queens: International Women’s Day at vCommission! 👑✨

March 7th at vCommission wasn’t just another day—it was a celebration of the amazing women who make our workplace what it is. As soon as they walked in, they were greeted with warmth, appreciation, and a little surprise waiting at their desks. The HR team wanted to make sure every woman felt valued, and after a lot of back-and-forth discussions (because choosing the perfect gift is serious business), we finally decided on a beautifully customized gift box for each one. A small gesture but one that carried a big message—you are appreciated, and today is all about you!

As the day went on, the office started to feel like a beautifully curated theme party, where pink and purple reign supreme. Every woman walked in looking effortlessly stylish, turning the workspace into what could easily be mistaken for a fashion runway—except with more laughter and fewer serious model stares. There was something special about seeing everyone in sync with the dress code while still bringing their own unique flair. Some kept it subtle, some went all out, but together, they created a picture-perfect moment of confidence, grace, and a whole lot of style.

Bright pink and electric blue wigs were adjusted with careful precision.

Someone even attempted a gravity-defying anime hairstyle using an impressive amount of hairspray. The air was thick with laughter, competitive banter, and the occasional “Hold still, or I’ll mess up your eyeliner!”

As the final transformations were revealed, the office erupted into cheers and applause. Some contestants rocked dramatic eyeliner and neon hair, while others went full K-pop idol mode, complete with dazzling poses and imaginary mic drops. The grand finale of the day was the most exciting and unpredictable game of all—”Take a Shot at Destiny.” The rules? Simple. Make a wish out loud, take aim, and try to land a pen into a glass. If the pen made it in, the wish was granted!

And oh, the demands were as absurd as they were comic! Some were tactical—one day of work-from-home or a half-day leave. Others took a shot—demanding a 50% raise, a luxury car, or even a vacation to Kashmir on all paid! The audience roared each time somebody had the guts, holding his breath every time the pen hovered at the edge before falling in (or flying off in a despondent near miss).

But the true highlight? Our CEO decided to join in. The moment she realized she might actually have to grant these outrageous wishes, her reaction was absolutely priceless. “No, no, guys! I’m just here to watch! Don’t do this to me!” she laughed, backing away dramatically as everyone burst into laughter. We kicked things off with a moment that never fails to send chills down the spine—the National Anthem. There’s something truly magical about standing together, voices in perfect harmony, feeling that deep connection to the nation. You’ve felt it too, right? That rush of pride, the goosebumps, the sudden urge to do something great?

Creativity Meets Patriotism—The 20-Minute Challenge!

The 20-Minute Creativity Challenge was the ultimate test of quick thinking, teamwork, and who could make the least mess with paint. We split into four teams, armed them with T-shirts, paints, and ribbons, and set a timer—just 20 minutes to create something patriotic. Sounds easy? Tell that to the team who accidentally turned their white T-shirt into a color explosion before even starting! On December 24, 2024, our office morphed into Santa’s Workshop 2.0, brimming with joy, jingles, and holiday magic. From decked-out desks to cheer-filled carols echoing through the halls, we turned an ordinary day into a sleigh-load of unforgettable Christmas memories. Ready to unwrap the magic?

A Week of Organized (and Hilarious) Chaos

The HR team kicked things off a full week before Christmas, and let’s just say—when it comes to holiday cheer, they don’t do ‘subtle.’ Armed with enough Christmas decorations to make even Santa question his own decor taste, they brought tiny Santas, sparkly stars, candy canes, and a touch of glitter to light up the room. The real magic, however, happened when they created three fabulous photo frames that instantly became the star of the show (pun 100% intended). Employees flocked to them like they were posing for Vogue’s holiday edition, turning these frames into our unofficial holiday runway. Who needs a red carpet when you have a glittery photo frame?

Celebrated International Men’s Day Honoring Strength & Dedication 

At vCommission, we believe in celebrating every occasion with zeal, creating moments of joy and appreciation for our team. This International Men’s Day, on November 19th, we planned a day filled with fun, games, and recognition for all the incredible men in our workplace.

Prepping for the Big Day

We threw down the ultimate style gauntlet: formals, only to crank up the excitement! The men were challenged to suit up, strut their stuff, and compete for the title of best dressed. It wasn’t just about the competition but about swagger, charm, and showing off their unique flair. Think James Bond vibes with a sprinkle of office swag!

And because we believe in spreading the love (and laughs), we had a little something extra planned. As the day’s meetings ended, the buzz of anticipation on the floor was undeniable. The Men’s Day celebration was about to begin, and the excitement was palpable.

Wishing & Cheers

We started with everyone moving around the floor, exchanging hearty “Happy Men’s Day!” wishes. The smiles, handshakes, and laughter created an upbeat vibe that instantly set the tone for the rest of the day. It wasn’t just a greeting but a moment to connect, appreciate, and gear up for what was to come.

 

Games Galore

With the mood set, it was time to roll up our sleeves and dive into some good-natured competition.

Hand Wrestling

The first challenge was hand wrestling—where the most muscular men from each team squared off to prove they weren’t just good at lifting coffee mugs. The room erupted with cheers and wild support as these contenders locked hands, ready to unleash their inner superheroes. It quickly turned into a battle of strategy, muscle, and well, lines like, “You’re going down!” echoed from the sidelines, followed by enthusiastic (and possibly not very helpful) tips like, “Just, uh, use your hand!” After a series of sweaty, grunting, and dramatic rounds, the final winner was crowned, walking away with a victory and enough bragging rights to last until the next competition. It was pure chaos, and we loved every second of it!

Push-Up Challenge

Next up was the push-up challenge, which wasn’t just about strength and stamina—it was about making push-ups look way more astonishing than they have any right to. Forget regular push-ups! Some participants were throwing in claps like they were auditioning for America’s Got Talent. In contrast, others mixed in wild variations—one-arm push-ups, knee-slap push-ups, and even “I’ve lost all dignity” push-ups. The crowd was on fire, clapping, laughing, and probably questioning their fitness choices. It was part workout, part comedy show, and all fun. The whole thing was a blast, and we may need to start charging for tickets to next year’s show.

Tug of War

To wrap up the games, we dove into the classic tug-of-war—an actual showdown of teamwork, strength, and who had the most brawn (and maybe a little bit of rope-burning strategy). The guys split into two teams, each one determined to drag the other into defeat. With every mighty tug, the floor erupted in cheers so loud you’d think we were witnessing the final moments of the Olympics! The energy in the room was contagious—people were on the edge of their seats, shouting, laughing, and probably wondering if the rope was about to snap or if the guys would pull a muscle.

As the teams gave it their all, the room buzzed with excitement. The mix of laughter, encouragement, and that “let’s win this” spirit made the competition feel epic. It wasn’t just a tug-of-war but a reminder of why we love being part of this team. By the end of the day, everyone was grinning, high-fiving, and walking away with memories they’d be laughing about for weeks. 

The Sweet Finale

What’s a celebration without cake? Ours was a total showstopper—a customized cake with glasses and a moustache, looking ready for a fashion show. It was quirky, stylish, and so on point you couldn’t help but grin. The cake was the cherry on top of a day full of laughs, games, and way too much competitive spirit.

After devouring it (obviously), we gathered for a group photo because why not capture this masterpiece? And then, the grand finale—the Best Dressed award. The winner strutted up like they were on a runway, ensuring everyone knew they were the real MVP. A stylish end to a fun-filled day with just the right amount of flair!

This Men’s Day wasn’t just about the games or the cake (okay, maybe mostly the cake); it was about taking a moment to appreciate the fantastic guys at work who keep everything running smoothly and look stylish while doing it.

A Glimpse into vCommission’s 2024 Diwali Celebration

As Diwali approached, the HR team at vCommission embraced the Diwali spirits with a thoughtfully curated series of exciting activities and challenges to make this Diwali unforgettable. Rather than limiting the festival to a single day, the team orchestrated a pre-Diwali lead-up to get everyone in the spirit. From dressing up in ethnic wear to creating hilarious department reels, we knew Diwali would stand out as an extraordinary celebration.

The HR team started the first day with a challenge: Get your finest ethnic attires ready! At vCommission, we don’t do things half-heartedly; we added a little excitement by awarding daily prizes for the best-dressed male and female. The office brimmed with excitement as everyone decked up in their best saris, suits and kurtas. From elegant dupattas to vibrant kurtas, the competition was intense, with some employees channeling their inner Bollywood stars while others kept it effortlessly chic. In the end, selecting winners was like finding a needle in a haystack. However, we recognized the winners for their exceptional ethnic attire.

The Reel Challenge

 

At vCommission, we take fun seriously, so to add some extra fun to the Diwali countdown, we came up with a challenge. Each department had to create its own amusing Diwali-themed reel. Each team showcased their extraordinary skills in ways beyond what we expected. From dramatic Bollywood-style performances to quirky skits and dance-offs, the reels were so witty they could’ve been straight out of a comedy show.

The HR team had a blast as the submissions rolled in. Some performances were lighthearted, others were exceptionally clever, but all were highly entertaining. Watching everyone transform into actors and comedians became our week’s highlight.

The Grand Diwali Day

The much-anticipated day finally arrived — Diwali Day! We were fully prepared to make it a celebration to remember. As soon as everyone walked in, they were greeted by a surprise from vCommission waiting for them at their desks. It was a little gesture to honour the hard work of vCommission employees. While everyone rejoiced with the gifts, the HR team decided to amplify the joy with a dance activity. The energy was palpable; everyone embraced the moment and captured videos to treasure. At vCommission, we celebrate festivals for fun and for our employees to unwind and partake in festivities from time to time.

After we moved our bodies on the dance floor, it was time to get our creative juices flowing with a desk decorating competition. A desk without lights during Diwali is like a feast without flavor. The office quickly turned into a mini Diwali festival, with desks dazzled with decorated diyas, glitter and flowers. Creativity was flowing in all directions. Some embraced a traditional style with dazzling lights, while others opted for a modern, minimalist aesthetic. Selecting a winner was no easy task, but the unique displays added a delightful touch to the festivities.

After all the fun and laughter, it was time to reflect, feel calm and breathe with a serene Diwali pooja. This quiet, thoughtful moment reminded us of the festival’s profound meaning. As the pooja ended, we began our tilak ceremony. We welcomed everyone with a warm tilak ceremony to mark the occasion.

As everyone settled into their seats, the tambola tickets were handed out, and the office quickly transformed into a lively, buzzing show. People were on the edge of their seats, cheering every time they crossed off a number and groaning together when they didn’t. The room was alive with suspense and laughter, building to those electrifying moments when the winning numbers were finally called.

Drumroll, please! The tambola winners were Zaheen from vFulfill, and Aisharjaya and Yukti from Advertiser Growth and HR! And guess what? Even our founder, Tarang, couldn’t resist joining the fun, making the game even more exciting.

Once the tambola excitement wrapped up, we moved to the final leg of the Diwali party—the Diya Making Challenge. Teams of four got creative with supplies like diyas, paints, glitter, and mirrors. The competition was fierce, and everyone gave their best, but the ultimate decision came down to our CEO, Parul, who had the tough job of selecting the most dazzling diya. After some intense deliberation, the winners were announced: Neha and Rachna from vFulfill, Amisha from Nutrafy, and Vishakha, Parneet, and Sunidhi from Agency.VC! What a creative finish to a fun-filled celebration!

The Perfect Ending

 

As the day came to a close, we concluded things up with some delicious snacks. Every moment added to the celebration, from lively dance floor moves to the intense rounds of tambola to the glittering diyas that illuminated the space with warmth. Diwali at vCommission was not just about the lights and sweets but about the people, energy, and moments we shared. It was about how every single person brought their charisma. The vibe was electric, and there was a deep sense of community. We look forward to surpassing this year’s celebration with something even grander next year. We’ll cherish the memories — the laughter, the joy, and the light we shared together.

As the light flickered, the excitement in the room magnified the anticipation and the shared commitment to making this evening unforgettable.

Setting the Stage for Success

When the department heads took the stage, it wasn’t just a run-through of numbers but a showcase of wins and challenges. While there were some impressive figures, who doesn’t appreciate hearing about a solid quarter? However, what truly captured the audience’s attention was, “We’re not stopping here. This is just the beginning!”

Each team brought their unique flair to the table. They shared their grand visions, and each plan was so detailed you could see the hard work and the fire of determination brimming in them. But the most exhilarating part was the vibe in the room, where everyone was ready to gear up for the challenges ahead. The energy was so profound that you wouldn’t stop wondering, “Nobody could stop up if this is how we are starting!”

Fun Awards; Epic Moments

When we thought the evening was coming close, our hosts stepped in to save the day. They introduced us to a “unique awards ceremony”, a perfect mix of suspense, laughter, and eccentric titles for our members. The rules were clear — we had 10 seconds to guess who deserved the title out of the nominees announced. The room cheered with laughter as titles began circulating, including:

  • The Snack Stash Award: For someone who has mastered the art of hiding snacks like a pro.
  • The Life of the Party Award: For the one who lights up every gathering.
  • The Office DJ Award: For the one who keep the music going and the energy high.
  • The Office Cheerleader Award: For the one who is always rooting for the team, celebrating kindness and team spirit.

With the ceremony, it was amusing to see how much our core values contributed to our success. It is as if the motto “Work Hard and Party Harder” inspired our souls. The pleasure of working hard together as a team and celebrating the success later not only ignited my passion but imbibed a feeling of contentment.
